Kolkata's very first bonedi bari Durga Puja, begun right after the Battle of Plassey — the birthplace of the city's Durga Puja tradition.
This is one of Kolkata's bonedi bari (aristocratic household) Durga Pujas — celebrated privately inside a family thakurdalan rather than a public pandal. Visitors are welcome during the puja days; dress conservatively and ask permission before photographing family members.
