About this pujo

One of North Kolkata's most aristocratic pujas — the Dutta family observes the nilkantha-bird ritual after immersion at Nimtala Ghat.

This is one of Kolkata's bonedi bari (aristocratic household) Durga Pujas — celebrated privately inside a family thakurdalan rather than a public pandal. Visitors are welcome during the puja days; dress conservatively and ask permission before photographing family members.
