About this pujo

Opposite the Gouriya Math — the Haldar family's touchstone Mahisasuramardini idol, worshipped daily, not just during Puja.

This is one of Kolkata's bonedi bari (aristocratic household) Durga Pujas — celebrated privately inside a family thakurdalan rather than a public pandal. Visitors are welcome during the puja days; dress conservatively and ask permission before photographing family members.
