Privacy Policy

The short version
Dugga Elo doesn't need an account, doesn't ask for your name, email, or phone number, and doesn't have a database of "users." Anything you save — favourite pandals, a route you've built, a packing checklist — is stored only in your own browser's local storage on your own device. We never see it, and it's never sent to any server we run.
What's stored on your device
Saved pandals, your custom route, checklist progress, and your "Puja Journey" milestones are all kept in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data, using a different device, or using private/incognito mode will reset these. Nothing here is transmitted anywhere.
Location
"Find Pandals Near Me" only requests your location when you explicitly tap that button — never automatically, and never repeatedly if you decline. Your coordinates are used entirely in your own browser to sort pandals by distance and are not sent to or stored on any server.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate, anonymised usage patterns — which pages get visited, roughly how many people use the route planner, that kind of thing. This uses standard Google Analytics cookies. It's not used to identify you personally, and we don't combine it with anything else.
Third-party services
Pandal locations are shown using Leaflet and OpenStreetMap map tiles. Directions links open Google Maps in a new tab. Share buttons link out to WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and Instagram. Each of these is a separate service with its own privacy policy once you leave Dugga Elo — we don't control what they do with your data.
Images
Some pandal photos are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under CC BY / CC BY-SA licenses, credited on the relevant pages. These don't involve any personal data of yours — they're just photography.
Children's privacy
Dugga Elo is a general-audience travel guide and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect any data from anyone, of any age — see above.
